The Princess of Wales told the sweetest story about how her youngest son, Prince Louis, comforted her after finding out his great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth had passed away.

Kate Middleton was meeting with mourners outside Windsor Castle over the weekend when she revealed what the 4-year-old royal family member said to her.

“My little Louis, he’s so sweet. He said: ‘Mommy don’t worry because she’s now with great-grandpa,'” the princess said in a now-viral TikTok video, per Fox News

“This just shows you just how special she was to everybody, all generations…thank you for coming to pay your respects,” Kate told the kids who were present.

The TikTok clip poster spoke with Insider about the event, describing how Middleton became emotional when talking about what happened. “When Kate was telling the story you could feel the emotion,” she said. “My eyes started watering when she talked about her Prince Louis saying that the Queen is now with great grandpa.”

The queen’s husband, Prince Philip, died in April 2021 at the age of 99. He and Queen Elizabeth were married for 73 years.

Louis is the third child of the newly minted Prince and Princess of Wales, making him fourth in line for the British throne. His adorable personality has been caught on camera before, especially this June when the young prince was caught making silly faces at the Trooping The Colour parade.

The annual event was a celebration of Queen Elizabeth’s 96th birthday, but her young grandson positively stole the show with his cuteness. Prince Louis was photographed covering his ears and screaming even though the rest of the royals looked to be enjoying the show.

During another event of the Platinum Jubilee, Prince Louis was seen making faces and sticking his tongue out at his mother during the Pageant and generally behaving like a typical preschooler.

Prince Louis’ father, Prince William, also shared a heartfelt remembrance of his late grandmother.

“On Thursday, the world lost an extraordinary leader, whose commitment to the country, the Realms and the Commonwealth was absolute. So much will be said in the days ahead about the meaning of her historic reign,” the prince’s statement, which he shared on Instagram says.

“I, however, have lost a grandmother. And while I will grieve her loss, I also feel incredibly grateful. I have had the benefit of The Queen’s wisdom and reassurance into my fifth decade. My wife has had twenty years of her guidance and support. My three children have got to spend holidays with her and create memories that will last their whole lives.”

“I knew this day would come, but it will be some time before the reality of life without Grannie will truly feel real,” William continued. “I thank her for the kindness she showed my family and me. And I thank her on behalf of my generation for providing an example of service and dignity in public life that was from a different age, but always relevant to us all.”
